I just changed the impeller on a 1961 merc 60 twin. It has sat in an attic since '65. It runs like a champ (after a few replaced parts) but no water out the back end. I can shoot hose up the intake and get water but it will not pump on its own. Anyone with any ideas???:confused:. I have...
Ok I got the motor runnin and it sounds great for the short time it ran. I shut it down due to no water out the back end. I assume the outlet is under the motor housing with the exhaust. I'm assuming the impeller is junk. And now for the big question.... Where is the impeller and how do i...
How do I check to see if I'm getting spark? I have replace the points, coil, and condenser. When I ohm out the spark plug wire through the coil i get a nice 7.44. When I put the cover on to pull the motor through I no longer have access to the plugs.
