I think I have my rich/lean settings all wrong I have a 62' 40hp Johnson There is only a slow speed idle setting which has me confused, shouldnt there be 2 idle settings? anyway, should I start in the middle and slowly move to the left or right, and should I be running the motor at the start...
I have a 60-62' 40 hp johnson and it runs fine when I keep the throttle at low power but when I try to give it some juice it sounds like it starts revving really fast and I lose all power until I pull the throtte back to low power and then I can feel it kick back in and start pushing the boat...
It looks like the slow speed rich/lean lever is missing off my motor and when I try to start it gas spits out of the hole I think it is missing from, however the motor is still starting when I start it above the start position, is this normal? does this effect my power output or have any other...
