Does anyone have information on how to adjust these two carbs on my 70 horse merc.
carbs are rebuilt but not set up.
1 and a half ,2 and a half turns of the screw. ????????

ok after talking with the guy i got the boat from, he told me he fooled around with the carbs and i have a feeling that when i put the boat in the lake and it is under load it keeps stalling.
now i am not a marine mechanic but i have a feeling this is why it runs good with muffs, on but not...
hello guys,I have a 1980 merc 70 horse 3 cylinder.
my problem i have is i had it tuned up and got it to start no problems with muffs on.
I put it into gear and idles nice both forward and reverse.
the problem is i went to put it in the water and give it a small run around the lake ,it fired up...
