Had to replace the tilt motor in May......hydraulic cylinder was not leaking then......after about 5-6 weeks of use
the motor started to hesitate before starting to lift......it got progressively worse and then the cylinder started
leaking ......I need to rebuild the...
Model J48ESLESA....1990 Johnson....48 special....2 carbs
Am stalling fairly often at low speed and idle......was told to clean out my low speed
jets with a piece of fine wire.....BUT.....don't know where they are located on carbs.
Ant help would be appreciated......Thanks
A nieve friend of mine replaced his 150 merc with a rebuilt 200 hp merc....
Upon watching it at idle I didn't see any water discharge at the back ....
AND.....also saw only a very tiny trickle when he drove past me at high speed......Is this normal with mercs or should there be a steady...
