When moving between gears the motor starts banging. Motor is 1980 70 hp Evinrude. I have read this might be the clutch dog? It only does this between gears, not while underway. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance

I am currently in the process of changing my 1980 70hp Evinrude to a newer boat. The boat is a 1990 16' Sunbird. It has controls on it that look different than from what were on my other boat. Are all controls the same or will i need to use the one that came with my motor?

I currently looking to buy a 16 foot 1990 Sunbird Bowrider. I have a 16' (homemade) trailer (for my 14' boat). Will a 16' boat fit on the trailer? It will stick about 1 to 2 feet past the rear pads.
