    sparks when attaching pos cable to battery

    1990 evinrude 175 xp e175slese when i attach the positive cable to the battery it sparks a little. i have a separate cable feeding the acc. panel. what could be causing a draw? jeff

    all new parts, still no spark

    1990 Evinrude 175 XP - VE175SLESE just replaced stator, powerpack and reg/rect last friday. she started up right away and ran like a charm. 14.1 volts going to new battery. charging as expected even with lights and bilge on. went back on monday and no spark at all. lanyard in place. friend...
