    Pertronix ignition in 470 and locating resistance wire

    Hi. Question. Do you have to cut the original purple wire? I currently kept the original wires & added a spliced wire from the choke. She starts right up but have only test run it. Will this cause me an issue after long use? Thanks in advance.
