I have a single solenoid pump and it burned up. I have found what appears to be an identical pump with two solenoids. Cant I just wire this up utilizing one solenoid?
I am replacing the gimbal bearing on a 1973 Mercruiser Stern and didn’t notice the retaining clip in front of the bearing. So the bearing came out, with clip and... a sliver of the bell housing the held the clip in place :-/

My 1973 Crestliner had a 2.5 L Mercruiser in it and block cracked. I picked up a 1981 3.0L engine and outdrive. I had the machine shop do valve job and magnaflux and I replaced most external parts with like for like except upgraded to electronic distributer.
