Can lubricants for Merc be used for Volvo Penta?
I have Sierra Spline grease, Quicksilver U-Joint/Gimbal lubricant, and Quicsilver 2-4-C.
But Volvo Penta recommends Volvo Penta Grease 828250 and Molybdenum Trioxide.
I just bought a 2005 Chaparral 190 SSI with a 3.0 Volvo Penta. Engine GLP-C. Drive SX-M 2.18
What is the correct gimbal bearing # ?
What type of oil to service the drive? and where to buy ?

HELP, Just took apart lower and found there is no shift shaft oil seal 26-816464 OR 18-8347 is that suppose to be on an Alpha One Gen 1 SN-OB655614?

OK I just got my drive back together and made a pressure tester thanks to iboats. My question is my gauge only goes to 10 psi is that ok? or should I get a new gauge that goes to 15-16?
I plan on vacuum testing the drive after is that a good thing or bad?

Thanks Bt Doctur, I found the washer in the bottom of the lower drive. I had to turn the unit over and it fell out and I know it was not on when I took it off. I will try to pry the lower base off as you said.
