My tilt/trim wires on my 83 merc 50 got burnt up a few days ago when the trim switch got stuck in the up position , now i'm trying to re wire it and ran into an issue.I have the new switch installed but the wires connect to the trim motor thru a 3 prong rubber housing which the wires are burnt...

j martin.. just got done running a comp. check all cylinders checked to be 91-94 ... i did however hook the motor up to the hose and noticed this.... water leaking from the bottom of the motor:confused:
