    1985 50 HP Manual Tilt????

    I have a 1985 50 HP with power tilt. However the solenoid is clicking and I need to take to repair shop, however the shaft is down so I need to tilt it up to transport. Is there a way to raise the motor manually? I see no pins/levers to release it. Thanks for any suggestions

    Merc Classic 50 - will not start

    Hi ya all, I have a merc Classic 50, 4 cyl, that I purchased a few weeks ago. It ran flawlessly on the 3 previous outings, total run time approx 8 hours total and speeds trolling to max. The last time I went out it would not start. The engine would turn over as normal but no way it would start...

    What Year is my Mercury Boat Motors

    First of, what a great site and knowledgeable people, secondly _ thanks to all who help. thirdly, I have 2 Mercury motors, one is a 50 hp serial # OA734213 and the second is a Merc classic 50 - serial # OA996890, I was told the second one is a 96 but I believe it is a 86?? Thanks again
