    johnson dies at idle

    I have a 76 johnosn 55hp that dies at idle and when you try to put it in gear. it seams the idle is to low what should it be set at and how do you check it and set it? the carbs were just cleaned out and the plugs replaced. when you get it off idle it runs good.

    55 hp johnson dies when enguaged

    the moter seems to run ok out of gear but when enguaged it dies out or has no power. the fuel is new and the mix is ok this boat was sitting for 3 years but ran good befor it was stored so i am told. it is a 1976 johnson 55 hp model 55el76e. any info on what to check first second or third would...
