I have had an issue with misfire on #1 piston.
I had checked out all components (using DVA meter) and replaced power pack, charge coil and ignition coils. (mainly becuase the issue was not resolved)
The engine idles fine and is fine at high revs.

Finally, worked out that water has been egressing my 20HP 1997 Johnson through the seal on the lower engine cover. To replace this seal I would have to remove the powerhead.
To save a great deal of work would an aplication of sealastic do the trick?
Can someone please advise how to adjust the timing on a 20HP 1997 johnson.
I have located the spark advance screw on the port side of the engine with the rubber stop. However, the rubber stop is not in contact with any component, therefore, adjusting this screw has no effect.
