    Water egress in Powerhead cover

    Finally, worked out that water has been egressing my 20HP 1997 Johnson through the seal on the lower engine cover. To replace this seal I would have to remove the powerhead. To save a great deal of work would an aplication of sealastic do the trick?

    Connecting a Hand held Tacho

    How would you attach a hald held tacho to a pull start 20HP Johnson 1997 model. I have the old analog tacho with a positive and negative leads.

    Timing Adjustment 20hp Johnson 1997

    Can someone please advise how to adjust the timing on a 20HP 1997 johnson. I have located the spark advance screw on the port side of the engine with the rubber stop. However, the rubber stop is not in contact with any component, therefore, adjusting this screw has no effect.
