    I figured that ALL Force 50HP Carbs interchanged through the years. But these two are quite a bit different. The throat is a bigger diameter.     Thanks. Learn something new everyday. I always figured there was no unburned fuel besides the richening for lube and that everything that went into the crankcase got burned eventually. I guess it would eventually puddle at the bottom of the engine and create an issue. I suppose chainsaws...

    In the video, the motor has points and condenser under the flywheel. I'm guessing my dad's 1985 50hp (in the picture) is also points. My 87 Force 50 has CDI ignition with triggers under the flywheel.

    Old thread but I think his problem was that we didn't have the lower unit aligned with the water pipe. He made sure all lined up and it works.
