Never had this issue with our tournament ski boats but: our 23' walkaround fishing boat need the tabs down to get on plane. Boat weighs probably 4600-5000 lb loaded up. Has a 200hp outboard (single). Tops out around 41 mph. Won't plane, or takes extremely long to get on plane unless the trim...
We've got a vertical type windlass. Pulls up the chain fine, but the rode is slipping on the gypsy/reel. Current rode is 1/2" conventional braid. Would changing to an 8-plait rode solve this?
