does anyone have any advice on aligning the shift shaft when i restab the lower unit. i tried stabbing it in neutral the other night, as well as having the gear control in neutral, but when i tightened up the bolts and shifted into forward then tried to shift back into neutral it stayed in forward.
this is an excellent manual PDF file that i found that really helped me understand my shifting problem on my 1969 merc 650 with the thunderbolt ignition!
