My 2006 engine is making a nearly rythmic noise on idle. When this happens the engine stutters and the idle gets unstable, then the buzzing stops and the idle stabilizes again.
the buzzing sound is coming from the flywheel area.
wierd symptom. any clues pls ?

Need to change lower mountings. service manual says `remove power head` and `do not remove lower mounting bolts as the whole thing can fall off`
is it possible to simply
1 remove lower mount covers
2 remove lower mounting bolts
3 give the engine a good tug back to get the...
Im going to buy a 5hp 4 st long shaft as a backup engine.
Till now im thinking mercury only because it shld be 2 kg lighter than the honda bf5 and am trying to acheive the best possible equilibrium in the boat.

A good old 2 stroke with a carb or a hi tech 4 stroke with efi and programmed ecu ?

so Id like to connect a tohatsu trim sender to a faria trim meter.
the sender has pink, orange, light green and black wires, the trim meter has grnd, ignition light, and sender connections only
does anyone know which of the 4 wires off the trim sender must i connect to the meter...

I need to change my throttle and gear cables (only 3yrs old :eek:) as one of em is rusting due to bad installation by the ?$%^&*# shop. (hole is in the wrongplace so cables hv alot of stress on them control box side.
