have bought a mark twain with a selva 80 on it. drive shaft broken dog worn cant seem to get any parts or info on these any help appreciated

Have you tried to contact any of the sites that come up on google when you run Selva Outboard it appears most are out of the country but many are english speaking.

yes have tried loads to no avail. do you know where to find make/model number or year all i can see is a 1000 imprinted on the head

I know some outboards have a number on a feeeze plug sometimes called an expansion plug.A silver disc on the powerhead.
