Yamaha F100AET Smoking on start up

Would like to know if we are still having problems with the Yamaha F100AET smoking on start up? :rolleyes:

hello<br /> who is we?<br /> all 4 strokes have a tendancy to puff at start,espesially up if left in a trim neutral or full trim down. if your having smoke at initial start try trimming the engine to half tilt after shutdown and during storage. you may also have a crankcase vent problem or excessive blow by.<br /> good luck and keep posting

I have a similar problem and used the same solution. It was initially after being parked for a while but occasionally if I trimmed all the way down and idled for a second it would smoke for a few seconds. The problem appears to be oil collecting in the bottom of the cylinders and running towards the head as opposed to draining into the case as would happen if left in slight trim up mode.
