I have a 50 hp mercury with a thunder bolt ignition system the serial # 3013331 I need to know what year it is.

per the chart at oldmercs.com it was made between 70 and 73, also a good place for parts. welcome to iboats.

Hey there AMD Rules, I see you know your model years very well, I have got a 100hp Merc 4cyl, oil injected, serial number is OB312239.. Can you tell me what year that is? Any pointers on that engine as to what to look out for? Thanks in advance..
