Kickhaefer Mercury 4hp have s/n need to know model/years

Hi have recently acquired a little 4hp kickhaefer merc serial no 2780758 aluminium engine cover, black with red band also a decal on front reads "THUNDERBOLT ignition" would love to know age and model plus specs or where to find them<br /><br />thanks

hey bear thanks for that link, only problems it it makes my computer freeze up every time i try to open it, any ideas? I have visited mercurymarine.com and it appears that the motor is pre1980 by virtue of having a 7 digit serial no with no letter preceeding, but that isn't enough to help me find parts, specifically gaskets preferably in Australia or New Zealand
