stuck merc lower unit

[SNOOSE]

A mate has a 70hp blue band Merc that has a lower unit (gear box) thatb dosen't want to come off. I susspect that it may be siezed on the gear selector. Has anyone had simmilar hicups ????????

Look for a bolt from the top.<br />take the stopper out and then there<br />a bolt down there.<br />good luck Rex

HAVEN'T HAD A CHANCE TO LOOK AT IT YET BUT I ALSO SUSPECT HE HAS LEFT A BOLT IN SOMEWHERE. I SHALL KNOW MORE AFTER THE WEEKEND WHEN I WILL PICK IT UP AND START WORK ON IT. I'LL BE BACK!<br />
