wiring diagram for tilt and trim

I need the complete wiring diagram for a 1991 70HP Johnson Tilt and Trim. I am installing the parts on my 1978 70HP Johnson. Any assistance or comments will be appreciated.

just sent you a 1990 to 91 tilt/trim and a 1978 tilt/trim diagram. hope that helps.

Thanks. Received a number of files but can not pull them up with my programs. What type software was used ? My system calls them ".max" files but will not read them.

You will also need the trim relay box off the 1991 model to make this work. 1978-1981 used a 3 wire motor that had seperate ground and usually a single relay/solenoid, newer 2 wires motors just reverses polarity to the wires.

lasvegas, bktheking is correct in his statement. start a new thread of your own. this is a 6 year old thread. are you adding the 2 wire system to the motor, or do you have some wiring problems with the existing system?

saw your post that you had a wiring diagram for a 91 johnson tilt and trim for a 70 Hp. WOuld that be the same for a 120 Hp 91 Johnson.

I need i tbecause I walked out to my boat today and hit the power trim once to lift it off its supports and it got stuck and I had to open cowling and disconnect wires. Could it be a solenoid? or stuck switch ?

It would be much appreciated
