The fuel sender on my 1985 17 foot glastron needs replacing. I cannot find anyway to locate it under the deck.If anyone knows where the sender is located please reply so that I may tear up as little as possible of my deck. raymansfield@metrocast.net

Don't know your Glastron but most senders are located on the top of the tank near the filler. It is usually accesses via a round access plate (about 6" in diameter). The sender itself is round and has two wires attached. I think it is attached to the tank with 5 screws.

Not sure about your Glastron but on my CV16 the tank was in the bow under the front deck but there was room between the deck and the tank, just follow the wires that go to top of the tank, the sender should be held in with 5 screws (maybe 6 depending on the ground wire)

Re: defective fuel sender

Hi Boatin Bob, Thanks for the help. I found the sender by following the wires as you suggested and found the sender. Now I will not have to tear up much of the deck. I don't know why they didn't put an access plate over the sender. <br /> Thanks again, rayman
