I have an oil leak where the prop meets the casing that drips down on to the prop. Also at the prop nut there is a water/oil mix is this normal? does something need to be replaced?
Thanks,
David

Hi rareheir
What color is this oil? Is it clean and clear, looks like honey? Or is it black and nasty, dirty with a little crud? Do as OB suggests and change you gear oil. If it looks ok and there is no water in it, you probably just have exhaust oil dripping out. No big deal. Its also a real good Idea to remove the prop and inspect the prop shaft for fishing line or other derbis that may be wraped around the shaft. Don't forget to greese the prop shaft with anti corrosion greese before installing the prop. Clean oil= problem. black and nasty = OK.

Thanks Alcan and OB.
The oil dripping is dark. I will change the oil and I think I will get a fresh tank of gas.If I need to replace the prop shaft seal,is that where I need to take off the 2 bolts and pull it apart there.
Thanks again
David
