Here's what the model number means:<br /><br />E 175 ?? ED<br /><br /> E = Evinrude<br /> 175 = HP<br /><br />Pick which one of these matches?<br />EX = Electric start 25" shaft<br />GL = Special Styling 20" shaft<br />NX = Counter Rotation, 25" shaft<br />SL = 60 degree vertical tilt & trim<br /><br />ED = 1996<br /><br />Hope this helps
