Hi, Bill.<br /><br />I think you need to get a manual, even if it is just checked out from your local library.<br /><br />Reinstalling a recoil spring that has gotten out of it's cage is a very difficult task. Be sure to wear heavy gloves and safety glasses.<br /><br />Good luck.

I would add LOTS of patience and an infinite vocabulary of cusswords. Do it when kids are not around.....

Don't get discouraged because when you get proper instructions it is relatively easy. A lawnmower mechanic showed me how to do it to make it easy. Sorry I don't remember the details, but you might want to talk to your lawnmower repair person.

First of all I'm fifteen.. so I don't have kids<br />Secound I have a manual, but it doesnot tell me much (I droped it in the water and inked out some pages. Can some one send it to me. I have a manual and will get a new one. soon but I need the startor cord fixed fast!!! Please can anyone help...... <br /><br />This site is so cool.... I wish my ELto pal could rewind its cord....
