Evinrude 115 1969 high revving with throttle closed

Motor starts no worries. Will accelerate when you work the throttle on the carbies, but when you operate with the advance/retard, it dies. And it won't idle slow either. :confused:

sounds like timing is too high. Check then get back 2 me.
