Hey Guys,
I have a 1988 Johnson 70HP VRO on the back of a 1973 StarCraft I'm restoring and am gutting it now. I am ready to remove the motor and have everything disconnected but the the control box cables. Looking for advice on if I have to mark them somehow or do anything special when I disconnect them? I want to avoid any complications when its time to put the motor back on and wasn't sure. Thx in advance

The shifter cable moves first before throttle cable moves. Typically it's easy to determine before you put it back on the engine side.

But when I take them off as long as I dont change anything or mess with them they will just go back on and still be set in the right position. Thats what Im worried about being my first time removing them.
