hey all. so i replaced the 1988 force `125 hp on my 1998 MonArch sunspa 260 with a 1999 Mercury 125 hp outboard. I noticed with both engines that if i have engine trimmed all the way down, its got a negative angle to it and if i trim it so it's straight up and down( 0 angle), that it will not hold trim as if its out of "trim" and into tilt. i am contributing this to a very high transom negative angle. My theoretical solution is to get a different engine pod with a less steep transom angle. Does anybody have a source for getting used engine pods? I'd also like to get one that extends 2-3' farther back from back of transom to get engine away from the back sundeck that it rubs on when tilted up.

I've owned my used pontoon since 2017. I've researched all aspects and items including getting new pontoons. I've never seen any type of reference to replacing motor pods.
Are you sure about your motor height mounting position being correct?
I've looked at pics of monarchs and the transom angle doesn't appear to be any different than other pontoons.

i did go out and measure the engine pod and there is a 7 inch negative angle to my engine pod over a 16". i also used the angle finder app on my phone and it showed an angle of 22.5. Now, i do believe that is excessive. arent most transoms, boat or pontoon like 10-15 degrees?
i also do know that after my lake test today and eye balling stuff and reading a bit more, my motor needs to go up two bolt holes which then creates a problem. it hits my sundeck. that's why i was thinking of getting a new engine pod that includes a rear offset .

Go to a Fab shop and have one made, or have yours modified to meet your specs. Finding one already made will be scarce, very scarce.

i also need to apologize, i need to correct. my pontoon has a positive transom angle, not negative. the bottom of the transom angles towards the bow.

ya, i was hoping someone on here had done somthing similar to what i am trying to do and had a recommendation. i have seem on the youtube channel" tom's toons' where he has replaced engine pods and had used a "pre-fabbed" engine pod. just havent found that video again.
