The first time I messed with paintball guns I was surprised at the amount of stink with only a t-shirt on. I wore thicker clothing after that.

You can get solid clay balls ,which are great for dogs coz they dont leave any witness marks .

back in the late 90's I worked at a company where 3/4 of the machine shop were in a paint ball club. they made gatling gun paint ball guns mounted to ATVs, riffled barrels for all the clubs paint ball guns and would jack the pressure up to about 1200 psi

you had to wear serious padding

Bruises the size of quarters and half-dollars all over the torso and arms.

Ours were required to be tested not to exceed 300 fps. No need for more. Paintballs had trouble surviving the trip much faster than that anyway. More accurate than a person would think possible. Things may have changed in the last 30 years.

To play paintball, run off strays (I do that with lead these days) and straight up mischief are the only reasons I can think of to own one.

What more reason would you need . I bought a flash catapult with either clay or steel balls ,which were fine but a round lead fishing sinker really got their attention .....provided I was a good enough shot ....which I wasnt all the time , and the offending dogs got carted off by the police and put down before I got organised with a paintball gun .
