Pretty much the same for me. I have a Garmin Striker 4+ mounted at the helm on my boat as my only unit. I'd like to have a bigger screen unit there and move the small one to the trolling motor. But that would leave me with the low feature unit up front. I was thinking maybe I need two big ones, one for the TM and another for the helm, but that ain't happening.I was looking at a few things but as has been the case last several years, the prices aren't good enough to where I bought anything.
A lot of the LiFeP04 batteries all come from the same factory. Last summer I bought two batteries about two months apart with two different brand names. Two different prices They both had identical paperwork in the boxes. Only difference was the sticker slapped on the battery case. Both work fine.I looked at a striker 4 but in the end I bought a new mount and power cord so I can fit my existing Lowrance Hook2 reveal 9 into the flounder slayer , not bothered about the sonar as the water is either non existent , which is kinda obvious , or mostly no more than 2m deep and seeing as the whole idea is to be able to see the bottom with my eyes I figure I dont need it.
I did just buy a Watersnake 44/36 electric trolling motor for the front of the 3.8m inflatable . Now I researching a suitable battery , would like to go 100ah LiFepo4 but Im a bit unsure about the wildly varying prices for what is the same ( deep cycle marine ) spec'd battery , Someone wants 500 holes for their battery saying its ideal for trolling motors but the next guy want 1200 for his and to my mind ( and a bit of a google ) one's reviews are no better than the other , Im looking at the steel frame , good BMS and terminals ( 8mm ).
There ya go assuming that I actually catch fish!Well your cost per pound of fish just went up
Well, you have posted pics of about 10, but all those were pond fish iirc...There ya go assuming that I actually catch fish!
Here's the link to the actual unit I ordered. I got another $100 off for military discount plus a coupon I had.
