Is lucas marine grease a good alternative for quicksilver or mercruiser extreme for gimball bearing thru stern drive grease fitting on i/o

Generally speakin', the gimbal bearing gets greased plenty, by owners that service their own boats,....
I grease mine with plain ole chassis grease, the same grease that lives in my "use it everyday" shop grease gun,....

Lucas Marine is fine , as is their red and tacky. Used in my gimbal for last 20 years

Lucas Marine is a bit better than typical grease because it’s calcium sulfonate grease vs lithium complex. Better wear protection & water resistance.

most marine greases are calcium sulfonate. As long as you use the same type of grease and don't mix them, you should be ok.
