Ok so i found this chart here that shows a 93 evinrude 50 interchanges with a 98 evinrude 50 lower unit. Is there anything i should worry about or just bolt it right up? Thanks.

It will bolt right on.

Thanks for replying. That sale fell thru. I have found a 92 johnson 70hp. This chart shows it will change with a 98 50hp evinrude. Is this direct bolt or will i need to do something else? Thanks for your help.

Clarify your question with 2 or 3 cylinder motors or model #.

Ok my motor is a 98 model # E50TSLECC

his 92 model # is J70TLEND

is this enough info?
Not sure but looks like the 70 is 3 cylinders loling at a parts diagram online by model number. The 50 is 2 cylinder. If needed ill ask about how many cylinders it is. Thanks again

According to your chart no it will not interchange. 3 cylinder lowers interchange with 3 cylinder motors. 2 cylinder lowers interchange with 2 cylinder motors.

The 98 model 50 HP motor is a 2 cylinder and a 3 cylinder lower will not fit.
