Serp belt

Can an automotive serp belt be used in place of the Mercury belt ?
I found one same length, and grooves... I am not sure if it has to be marine specific.

Yes, you can use those belts length and rib count must match

Belts are not marine specific. A belt is a belt is a belt.....
I bought a spare belt for my 4.3. Genuine spare, $150, local auto shop, $49. The original is in the spares box.
Just take your original belt with you and match up length and grooves... Easy.
