identification problem

could some please tell how to feg out what my 350 distributor is it in 1979 sea ray can't find model number on it and can't find 1 on engine what to get rid of points please help

Most screw down caps are Prestolite and the snap retainers are a Mallory cap.
But why change? Those you can repair for $20.00 .They make sparks no matter how bad they get from wear.
electronic is like a light switch on or off and a lot more expensive

could someone please give me a straight answer on what type of distributor this is. here is a better picture showing the arms that fold up over the cap to screw down to hold cap on .

Ayuh,..... But it sure changes the amount of Maintenance necessary,....

Points is every year,.....

Electronic is every decade or so,.....

Get yerself the Delco Voyager Kit,....

Ya don't need to know what that distributor is, just the year of yer 350 SBC,...
