oil sensor

have 2002 mercury outboard 50hp 2 stroke 3 cylinder oil is more then half full in the tank when i wiggle the wires that connects the bullets to the sensor the sensor is going off but i am able to wiggle them again and the alarm goes off. seems like the slightest movement in the wires sets it off . Any suggestions ???
