So I was given a super clean 9.9 Evinrude kicker the other day from my good neighbors wife. He isn't going to be needing it any more as he is now trophy fishing in the sky. She claims he last used it back in the mid to late 70's and only once just after he bought it new. I pulled off the cover and I think the old gal got it right... It still has the factory grease on the starter gear and everywhere for that matter. So I my first thougt was I had better change out the impeller and see what that looks like. So after a quick look I discovered a small issue... I'm not sure what year this thing is? The serial number plate is the sticker type with the blue squiggly lines and the numbers printed over the lines... Problem being there is no numbers? So now I'm asking the boat Gurus how I can identify the year of this thing so I can get the correct parts I need? Any help or direction would be great. Thanks in advance...
