I have green algae under my gates on the carpet of my pontoon and red algae on the carpet by the swim ladder. How can I get rid of these to problems? suggestions please
1) Spray with 1 cup of household bleach in 1 gallon of water. This is enough to kill the algae without compromising the color or construction of the carpet.
2) Pressure wash (be easy...don't try to strip the fibers out)
3) Spray with a disinfectant and dry thoroughly in the sun
4) Rinse with fresh water after use and allow to dry before putting the boat away.
