I have the same problem as this 2007 post:
"Yesterday I went to turn on my radio but nothing happened like a dead battery. I turned the key and nothing. Horn nothing. I put in a brand new battery, thinking I left something on and killed it. Same with new battery. Checked all fuses all good. Then I pressed the trim and it worked. So it wasn't the battery but I got no power to anything on the boat except the power trim and tilt. There is a circuit breaker button but it does not press in or out and there is no power to it. I used a testing light. The only thing that lights up the testing light is one of the terminals on the starter celunoid.
I know next to nothing about electrical. Can anyone help?"
I have replaced the 90 amp fuse from the battery to the starter slave sel. and have power past the fuse. I have bypassed the "kill switch" and have checked the power to ignition switch with no luck. No power to the switch. There is no power in or out of the 50 amp breaker. ?????

Ayuh,... Check the condition of the Big black Cannon Plug that connects the Motor, to the Hull...
It's probably somewhere near the big circuit breaker...

Re: No Electric 2005 5.0l MPI

I had checked each post inside the plug from the hull to the engine using the same ground where I found power out from the stater sel. No luck. Before the engine hold blower would work without the ignition on but not now. April I had to "jump" it to start. Everything ran fine. Put in a New battery to be safe. Now this! One diagram in the work shop manual shows a 20 amp fuse to the ignition but I can't find one.

What have you done to the boat since it worked right? Did it work ok when you first replaced the battery?

Power for the breaker comes from the starter, check there for any corroded/broken leads

Re: No Electric 2005 5.0l MPI

In April, I went to start it to run the antifreeze out and the battery was low, so I jumpmed it to start.Started right up after 5 months. Let it run for 15 minutes. Took the battery out and put a new one in 2 weeks later. No other work. I don' know electronics, so I keep them clean. No corrosion. ?????

Well if you are getting 12 volts at all of these places, what are you using for a ground? I would make sure you have a good ground from battery terminal to the block...

i would start at the batter i bet you left a battery cable off or you hooked it up backwards and poped the fuse on the starter

Thanks for your help. Both "new" 90 amp fuses were bad. They were manufactured in Mexico 05/18/06. If you gat any with that date you might want to check them.
