Parts for 1963rude 18 HP

Hi, i have a 1963 Evinrude that needs a complete recoil assembly. They seem to be available, but 600.00 plus is pretty steep. Was hopeing someone has a used one or knows where i can get one. Any advice would be appreciated. The Model No. is 18302L. Thanks

Post a free want ad on the Webvertize pages at the Antique Outboard Club's website www.aomci.org You're sure to find one, and a whale of a lot less than $300 too!

You shouldn't have to pay more than $25 for a good used one. There's still a lot of parts available for those.
