88 150 XR4 Warning Horn Overheat?

Went out today and before the first crank the warning horn sounded (long tone) and after a couple of off-then-on, off then on the horn went to test tones and she cranked up.
Is this an indication of a thermostat sticking open or maybe a faulty horn? It did take about 30 seconds for the p-stream to show....
I'm still having a rough idle and hard start.....(88 Merc XR4 150 Troubles thread)
Thanks,
Dave

You might get a continuous tone from the oil alert module. It is not normal. It can be caused by battery low voltage.

Any short to ground, either through the oil alert, the Ot sensor, or a mouse bite will sound the horn.

hope it helps
