1983 Tri Sonic 2000 Valiant???

I'm currently looking at this boat for a "project", I'm new to boating and really don't know a whole lot about it. I've tried to research this model and have came away empty handed. The last year that I have found that this boat was manufactured was in '81, but the HID# indicates otherwise (TRS20020M83A). Was hoping that someone may know some information about this.

Actually it is an 83 according to the VIH code requirements the M83A give the date of manufacturer

Thanks I'd post a few pics of it, but currently using my iPhone. The hull is in great condition and motor runs. Just needs to be cleaned up and interior is in poor shape and eventually a paint job will be in order.

does it look like this?, they seem to have played with the tri hull designs, this one is really cool, more of a tunnel hull than tri hull
