I didn't know what I bought, I just knew that it would make a good project for me and my 7 year old son. Got my registration papers back from the state of Kansas and it is listed as a 1963 Lone Star, but incorrectly listed as 16 ft. actually it is 14 which is what I told them it was on my initial registration. However can someone please confirm this is indeed a Lone Star.....King Commander maybe?

That's a Lone Star alright, but don't know which model. A site called fiberglassics.com used to have quite a list of all older boats, f-glass and aluminum. A 15-18 hp OMC of that era will push that ride nicely...used to run a 15-footer with an 18 hp Johnson FD-11, it was sweet. Where are you in Kansas?...used to live in Dodge City and then Manhattan.

Just right down Hwy 50 from Dodge about 40 miles west. A couple nice lakes near that this boat will be a pleasure on...Clark County and the new Horsethief Res. once I get it back into shape that is.

Way cool...out towards Cimarron and Garden City. Bought a really sweet 68 Ford F100 in GC decades ago...shoulda' kept that truck and the little 15-foot tinny, too.
