After draining my lower unit for lube change, I stupidly saw the other bolt head on the right Bottom.(From the rear view of the engine. I thought I had not got "both" drain plugs and started to turn this bolt. I immediately stopped when I realized what I was doing. I had turned approx. a 1/4 turn. What is this bolt head for and how bad did I screw this up?
Thanks,
Ken

I have identified the screw as the shift pivot screw. Is this an adjustment screw?
Thank you,
Ken

As long as you didn't remove it completely, you're OK. It's a pivot pin that goes through a pivot arm. No adjustment here. It just gets screwed in place and tightened up so that it doesn't fall out.

Not 100% sure because I've never touched mine.
