Finally Took The Plunge, Thank to You Guys

In the past three weeks I have read almost all the restoration threads on here and you guys are awesome! I went today and picked up my very own
16SS. I am not sure of the year, but it is on a newer galvanized trailer and has a 1979 85 Johnny TnT on it. The motor does not run, but already have a line on a 78 85 Johnny that does. PO has already removed all the wood, but saved it all for forms and cleaned out all the old wet foam. 300.00 for it all. I am looking forward to all the help you guys will be in my rebuild. I will try and post some pics and i would like to know how to start my own restoraion thread.

Yep u are NB! I am originally from Hopewell VA, moved here 19 years ago. Can't wait to move back closer to the James and them big ole catfish,LOL! I noticed that some of the other guys are just up the road in Lancaster as well. I am hopin to get her ready enough to make it to Lake Anna, I could just stay at my parents.

Cool video EZ! I boat all over, Lakes: Raystown,Gaston,Buggs Island,Chesdin Rivers: James, Chickamominy,Potomac, Susquehanna. I want to try my hand in the bay as well, main reason I bought the Starcraft. My other boats are not suited for that environment. I have the Stratos for sale right now to free up some capital for my new baby!

I boat all over, Lakes: Raystown,Gaston,Buggs Island,Chesdin Rivers: James, Chickamominy,Potomac, Susquehanna. I want to try my hand in the bay as well, main reason I bought the Starcraft.

I went out to Raystown once but only took a canoe (big mistake). Loved the lake though and would love to get back out there with my Starcraft.

Welcome Stratos. I still live in your old stomping grounds. I fish chesdin most of the time, but I'm trying to get my SC together for the James and the Bay. Your going to have fun working on that great boat, and even more fun using her. Looks like both you and I have a lot to do to make it to Tinstock at Anna. I''l be darned if I'm going to miss that! Wow, nice boat. That is going to be fantastic when you're done. Love my 16' SS I can wait to get it out of storage on our first trip of the year. Last year I had it in the water in April, so next month is almost here!!!

The neighbor and his wife came over to see what all the commotion was in the garage and they helped me flip her over for sanding tonight! Gonna get started on sanding the bottom for the primer this week. All the Epoxy is on the deck and transom boards. I took the {keystone } board out just like the transom and it went real smooth. Here are a couple of pics, the rest are in my resto thread. Again thanks for all your help guys, I couldn't be doing this with out all your excellent tutorials!
