fuel pump kit ?'s

I'm putting a new diaphram kit on the pump does any one think i should replace the check valves? It is a older motor. Holding them in hand and blowing in them they seem to work okay but there 27.00 bucks advice please

If your checking them in the fuel pump body by blowing in the gas inlet
and outlet and they check out I wouldn't worry about them. Diaphrams
are cheap, you can always replace them later if needed.

well i did and it sucking and blowing went both ways but when the guy checked them at west marine each one out of the body they worked fine. But i'll put them back in and test once more before i bolt it up
