late 70's early 80's. what is the model #, plate on side of transom mount, or quarter size disc on engine block.

Yea, that motor is the 31.8 cube powerhead, like mine. I have read here where you can boost those up to 35hp by making some minor changes. I can't remember what all there is to do, but I believe it's in the carburetion.

Not sure of the motor, but the boat is a 1984 Grumman deep fisherman. How did you get it out of myback yard?
