Used to be in the tool business and "Robertson" is a very tightly controlled trademark/proprietary label. So you can't use the term without royalty or licence fees. "Square drive" is OK.

Why the concern about 6 gallon gas tanks?

6 US gallons equal 5 Imperial (Canadian) gallons.....more or less.

Phillps has to be the worst design ever, square head aka robertson is the best for torque and not head stripping I wish they made robbie dry wall screws...life would have been easier since I put in thousands building my place the cottage and helping out friends in their projects

They do, but they have #1 heads and are spendy. Hard to load on the gun too.
For small jobs, not too bad though.

As far as the OP goes, Dewalt ones in the 25 pack marked P2 that have little grooves in the faces of the driving surface , perpendicular to the long axis of the bit.

+2 on this comment--
"Phillips are the pointed ones and they will not do well driving R&P screws which need a R&P (flat tip) bit. The Phillips bits cannot "bottom" in the R&P screws. R&P bits usually do okay driving Phillips screws."

Can't say that I've used their bits, but I know Klein makes a hell of a screwdriver. I've had a set for quite awhile & the heads are still like new.

And you would think a Canadian store, with locations in every town in Canada that is named Canadian Tire would use the Canadian measurement.

I know. The US sized cans are cheaper, but it just really irked me that day.

And I still think that the Home Depot stores in Canada should sell Robertson bits, not square bits.

If we're talking deck screws, I'm now a HUGE fan of the star (torx) type. Not only do they rarely slip, they also stay on the bit.

I have a bit set made by Blue Point that was given to me as a gift. It seems to be of very high quality. All the phillips bits have a grabby texture to them. The most important thing seems to be matching the driver to the screw head.

My favorite screwdriver is the Klein 10 in 1.

I've had good service from the Bosch bits that come in what looks like a Tic-Tac container. They are the short ones so you need a magnetic holder.

With a British car out back the Reed Prince is a very familiar tool. But when it goes bad they have to mail me the new one. Sears does not normally stock them anymore.
