Just got a 1969 Starcraft Arrow with a 1959 35HP Lark on the back. Ordered a tune up kit and gear case seal kit. Question is, the kit came with 5 seals for the gear case. Looking at the manuals, I only see three. Prop seal, one on top of the water pump and one below the water pump.I also noticed the existing seals seem to have much more sealing surface on them(thicker seal) than those in the kit. Do some kits intend to double up on the seals? I have the manuals but still only see 3 seals necessary. What am I missing?

There's one or the shift rod. It's the small fat O ring. And a small one on the shifter pivot screw. And the spaghetti seal. Is that all of them?

Sorry I wasn't clear. Yes, I have the ones you mentioned in the kit. But there are also five larger seals total in the kit. One looks like it fits the prop, one looks like it is for the top of the water pump and then there are 3 more that look like they are the same size and style. If one goes under the water pump, I still have two unknowns. Left a message where I got the kit, maybe they can help shed some light on the matter.

Sometimes folks put on two seals back to back. One to keep the oil in and one to keep the water out. But I did not know they came that way. You'll see whatever has to be changed when you open it up I would imagine.
